I have previously written about the Jewish Travel Guide for 1964.
Now we are going back 11 years, to the Coronation edition of 1953.
It was compiled by ‘Green Flag”. This was the pseudonym of F. H. Samuel, a long-time Jewish Chronicle journalist who worked for the Jewish Chronicle for over 50 years. He started as the office boy and ended as a respected journalist, edited the travel column for over 30 years and founded the Jewish Travel Guide. He was also the paper’s film critic.
