MiShanah LeShanah, Yearbook of the Golders Green Beth Hamedrash Congregation 5743 (1982-1983).

5743GGBH01I’ve written before about an earlier issue of MiShanah LeShanah.  This one is for 5743 (1982-1983). The Golders Green Beth Hamedrash was founded by Rabbi Dr. Elie Munk in 1934. Much of the original membership consisted of orthodox German refugees, following the theological approach of Rabbi Samson Raphael Hirsch.  The synagogue is still thriving today. Here is its website: https://ggbh.info/index.html.

Apart from the historical names of forty years ago who are mentioned, what caught my eye was an interesting article by Esra Kahn, the Librarian of Jews College (now called The London School of Jewish Studies) about the printer and publisher Wolf Heidenheim (1757-1832).
