This is a nostalgic book in my Anglo-Judaica collection which also forms a historical record. It was compiled by ‘Green Flag”. This was the pseudonym of F. H. Samuel, a long-time Jewish Chronicle journalist who worked for the Jewish Chronicle for over 50 years. He started as the office boy and ended as a respected journalist, edited the travel column for over 30 years and founded the Jewish Travel Guide. He was also the paper’s film critic.
