Order of Ceremonies and Laws of the Society “Mikveh Israel” – the Chevra Kadisha of the Spanish and Portuguese Jews Congregation of London, Moses Gaster, 1899.

This interesting little book includes instructions and rules for preparation of the body and burial to be carried out by the Spanish and Portuguese Burial Society known as “Mikveh Israel”, in London.  This is the version that was revised by the Haham – the Chief Rabbi of the Spanish and Portuguese Jewish community – Rabbi Moses Gaster, in 1899.
